In Luige on the outskirts of Tallinn, a topping out ceremony was held on Friday, where the last beam was placed atop seven buildings. The joint development of Everaus Kinnisvara and Scandium Kinnisvara will provide homes for nearly 90 families in 20 different houses. The first apartments will be completed this summer.
In the biggest housing development in Luige in years, the last beams were placed atop seven buildings. A total of 28 terraced houses, complete with a walking promenade and outdoor areas, will be finished this summer.
According to Janar Muttik, the CEO of Everaus Kinnisvara, the strength of Luige Homes lies in the beautiful residential quarter with a unified style and a location just a few kilometres from Tallinn. ‘Luige has improved a lot in the last year—the large Luige Centre with a 24/7 gym has just opened, something the area has been waiting for. New commercial spaces and ball game halls are also under construction less than a kilometre from our quarter. Our area is now a comfortable 10-minute environment, with plans for a convenient childcare space.
Construction of the second phase is scheduled to start at the end of the summer. In addition to the terraced houses, the development will include two attractive apartment buildings offering large family homes and more compact apartments with balconies.
Maido Lüiste, CEO of Scandium Kinnisvara: ‘Families moving to the outskirts of Tallinn, away from the hustle and bustle, is a trend we often see around us. It is the developer’s task to make the living environment as holistic as possible. We have achieved this well with the Luige Homes—the amenities and extras we offer here trump many homes in the capital in terms of details and the living environment. It will also create a cosy community where children can visit their friends and parents enjoy the benefits of a quieter, greener life.’
The architects of the Luige Homes are Olavi Kukk and Janar Blehner from Apex Arhitektuuribüroo. The interior architect is Lilia Kristianson. The first phase of homes will be completed this summer.
