Janar Muttik, founder and CEO of Everaus Kinnisvara, visited Äripäev Radio in the series “Behind the Squares”. In the first half of the program, Hans Pajoma, member of the board of Hüpoteeklaen AS, discussed how developers can benefit from the speed of non-bank financing. “Ultimately, our combination may turn out to be cheaper for the developer than waiting for the banks. We are ready to enter projects at a time when the banks are not there yet.”
Janar Muttik, who participated as a guest in the second half of the program, explained the structure and possibilities of financing real estate projects. Among other things, Muttik refuted the myth that expensive financing leads to higher prices: “If a developer building homes for people uses non-bank loan options and pays 8-11% interest on the loan received, expensive capital may not necessarily mean higher apartment prices, according to market participants.”
